Join us this Saturday as we begin our block walking efforts! Unlike my opponent, I prefer to rely on friends and supportive volunteers to get our message out, instead of paid walkers from Craig’s List. Contact us via the “Send Larry a Message” link on the website or at campaign@larrygonzales.com for all the info. See you Saturday.
Block Walking Begins
August 31st, 2010Texas Tribune Discusses Our Campaign
August 27th, 2010In a recent article the Texas Tribune listed the 21 most interesting house races in the state. The article is a great overview of not only our race, but races where shaky Democrats are facing being swept out of office. Our campaign was picked by the Tribune as the seat most likely to be picked up by an opposing party! Read the rest of this entry »
Keeping Up to Date
July 13th, 2010“How can I help?” It’s a question which is frequently asked by people we meet during the campaign. One of the easiest and least time consuming is to share our Facebook fan page with your friends. There they can see all of the great things our campaign is achieving and keep up to date with future events. You can find us on Facebook by searching for “Larry Gonzales for Texas House District 52.”
Stephen Casey Endorses the Larry Gonzales Campaign

Candidate Forums, Endorsements, and Walking!
January 20th, 2010It’s been a very busy week. Since Friday, we have had three candidate forums giving us the opportunity to talk about our campaigns with many different groups of people. I have received an “A” rating from the Texas State Rifle Association and the National Rifle Association, I have been endorsed by the Young Conservatives of Texas, and I have been endorsed by the Texas Apartment Association. Our direct mail is right on schedule, and we are able to add more local and statewide GOP leaders to our list of supporters. I also sat with Mark from the Lone Star Report for an interview and with the editorial board of the Austin American Statesman. It’s been a very busy week!
Saturday block walking!
January 16th, 2010For six hours today we were knocking on doors and visiting with voters. It went great! I have more yard signs to deliver tonight around HD52 for people I met today and from people who have called or emailed this week asking for them (earlier in the week we spent two nights delivering yards signs). I am thrilled with where we are in this campaign…..and we have really just begun. The next six weeks are going to be very, very busy!
Mail piece #1 is online!
January 15th, 2010Hello, all! It has been a great few weeks at the Larry Gonzales Campaign. Road signs are up, more yard signs are up, doors are being knocked, and as of this past Saturday the direct mail program is officially underway. On Saturday, 19,000 Republican voters received in their mailbox our first piece of direct mail – a piece we call “Larry Bio.” Please visit http://www.larrygonzales.com/media/ to view, download, and email it to friends.
Mail piece #1…check! Endorsements…check!
January 10th, 2010The campaign is happy to report our first direct mail piece arrived in the mailboxes of nearly 20,000 voters in HD52 yesterday! Our mailing list is very inclusive of voters who have been active in the Republican primaries for the past 5 cycles. We had: (1) a few biographical bullet points about me professionally; (2) a fantastic endorsing quote from Holly Hansen, the most recent President of the Williamson County Republican Women; (3) a partial list of supporters which included several precinct chairmen, Williamson County GOP officers and past officers, business leaders, community leaders, and statewide leaders; (4) my position on four key issues facing Texas (Pro-Life, Property Rights, Property Taxes, and a Secure Border); (5) four brief parapgraphs telling you about my family, our story, and what keeps us busy in our everyday lives; (6) and finally, photos of the family.
4′ x 8′ Road signs!!
December 13th, 2009We have been very busy putting up road signs all over HD 52! What a blast. We appreciate all the horn honks and thumbs up as the voters drive by. It makes that next sign a little easier to put up. Thank you for all your support!
Thanksgiving Holidays!!
December 1st, 2009What a great time we had over the Thanksgiving holidays. We had a few days with family – some we have not seen for a few years. First, we had Thanksgiving dinner here in Round Rock with my in-laws at their annual Grace Lutheran Church Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday night. Then it was a Thanksgiving brunch on Thursday with the in-laws, followed by a Thanksgiving lunch in San Antonio with my family. For the first time that anyone could remember in recent years, my mother, her two brothers, and their parents (my grandparents) were all together on Thanksgiving. That was thanksgiving indeed!
