Please join me in welcoming Amy Ellsworth as the new Chair for the Transportation/Infrastructure Subcommittee.
Amy brings valuable first-hand experience on policy issues related to transportation and infrastructure, having recently served as Chief of Staff for Representative Linda Harper-Brown, who authored and passed the TxDOT Sunset Bill during the last legislative session, and who is a member of the House Transportation Committee. Prior to that, Amy served as District Director and Communications Director for Representative Dan Gattis, working closely with TxDOT, Williamson County, and other transportation partners to address local transportation priorities. Amy also spent six years in Washington, D.C., serving in a number of roles, including Communications Director for Congressman John Carter.
Amy joined Community Impact as General Manager of the Round Rock/Pflugerville/Hutto edition in January 2013.
The scope and importance of transportation and infrastructure issues continues to grow in our city and region, and we are pleased that Amy has agreed to serve as Chair of the Transportation/Infrastructure Subcommittee for the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.
